The new social facilities were assembled on-site from four containers that merged into a stylish building.
New social facilities for the welding hall
With the growing number of employees, TK-Vilmet also invests in work satisfaction and occupational safety. A fully customised social building, designed for the needs of the personnel, took its place in connection with the welding hall as a separate building. The building, which consisted of several surface-ready container modules, was partly lifted on top of piles and assembled into a functional entity. The building was practically operational when it was connected to the electricity and sewerage network.
Each container module was pre-equipped for its intended use. Everything was in order up to the wall and the ceiling. The container structure could only be seen from the neat floor and wall mouldings at the container boundaries. The bright dining and break area had proper kitchen facilities with appliances. The washrooms and dressing rooms were designed separately for men and women, and they were also factory-installed with showers, washbasins and lockers ready for use. In addition to lockable wardrobes, lockers were reserved for employees for personal items, as well as storage compartments for small items. There is direct access from the social facilities not only to the welding hall but also to the parking area.
